I remember when I didn't know Tom Perry. One day I was discussing local history aficionados and collectors with someone close to that venue. And that person said "Tom Perry is a good guy". Our association now has evolved to the Henry County Historical Book Project. Early on someone asked a question of committee chairman Tom about how the book would be laid out. It was a sticky question and Tom answered it by saying "We will do it this way because I'm the Law." You see Tom lives in Ararat which is very close to Mayberry, NC, the home of that most famous sheriff Andy Griffith. So that very afternoon I placed a photoshop star on Tom's author picture here. Tom liked my star so much that he bought himself a Mayberry Sheriff's badge to wear to meetings. Well it's a feisty group and a sheriff really is sometimes necessary. ;)
