Sweet Garnett Spencer |
Someone said schools are phasing out high school annuals. That is a bad move all around since annuals contain so many great photos and are archived at places like the Bassett Historical Center. But this photo actually came from Linda Padgett Hollandsworth's 1965 Annual. Thank you Linda! And it is a great photo of a dear lady named Garnett Spencer. As teenagers we all loved her. She worked the counter at Joyce Drugs and later at Jeanne's Clothing which was operated by Jeanne Joyce. Jeanne's was the store previously known as Harlowe's. Garnett is pictured here on the left, Becky Barnard is in the center, and Mary Shannon Rives is on the right. Great Memories.
