Alphonse Gerber As A Young Man |
Alphonse Gerber and his daughter Carmen once ran The Hut restaurant in Collinsville and the Club Martinique in Martinsville. Alphonse grew up in the Alsace area of France and this photo of him as a young man comes from his brother Alfred's granddaughter. She has been researching her family and found information on MyHenryCounty.com about The Hut and the Gerbers. In fact her father Claude once visited Alphonse in Collinsville in the 1960s. In this photo Alphonse is standing on the right and his brother Alfred is in the middle. Another brother is at the left and the parents are seated.
