. Julian R. Mei, son of Mary Rives Brown of Martinsville and Angelo G.
Mei of Hilton Head Island, S. C. recently performed in a T.E.S.T. Theater production
at The Producers Club in midtown Manhattan. The T.E.S.T. Theater's mission is
"to teach history through the medium of theater." THE ANDERSONVILLE
TRIAL, written by Saul Levitt and directed by Nicholas Linnehan, tells the story
of a POW camp in Suter County, GA, where 14,000 Union soldiers died during the
Civil War. Mr. Mei, a 1999 graduate of Martinsville High School and a 2004 graduate
of VCU in Richmond, performed two parts, the primary one being that of Lt. James
Davidson, an emotionally and physically scarred survivor of the camp. |
